Research for Business is owned and run by Simone Apel, a Masters-trained Information Professional. She set up Publishers Research Services (PResS) in 1997, to provide a research service for UK publishing staff. PResS offers a range of services to a diverse international client base of editors, freelancers, publishers & management - offering desk research & fact checking, copyright tracing, bibliographic information, business information and much more. And for those wanting to improve their own research skills PResS offers comprehensive training on Web research, subject specific training and bespoke training to meet individual needs.
Research for Business is an off-shoot of PResS for all types of business or industry. Services offered include training in competitor intelligence on the Web, bespoke research in the areas of business information, financial data, secondary source market research and competitor analysis.
